Heading to the ‘Zona

My wanderings have been put on hold as the hub and I finish up signing the papers for our retirement home in Arizona.  I’m so excited! By the end of this year, I will no longer be a Californian, a public employee, or an apartment dweller.

Good bye traffic, so long boring job, hello blue skies and wide open spaces. Many of my favorite places are a short drive:  Grand Canyon, Page, Sedona, Prescott, Utah, Laughlin and of course our family in California.

I was trying to hold off until that “magical age”, but I just can’t do it anymore. Life’s too short to keep doing things that make you unhappy, so I’m making a change and moving on. I can’t wait to fully explore my new home state of Arizona.

  1. Congrats on your new home. We spent 3 months of the winter in Arizona and are considering buying a place there oursleves. Our son lives in Phoenix making AZ that much more attractive. It’s a diverse state that has a lot to offer.
